The SENIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION has been enjoying golf at
the best private and semi-private courses in the Greater Tampa Bay
area for more than 25 years.
SENIOR GOLF requires players to be 50 plus years of age.
Yearly membership dues are $75.00.
As a SENIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION MEMBER you will also hold membership in
the FLORIDA STATE GOLF ASSOCIATION. SGA is also affiliated with the
USGA.
The SENIORS’ play courses in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tarpon
Springs, Palm Harbor, Oldsmar, and others in Pinellas County. In
Hillsborough County, we will be in Tampa, Lutz, Sun City, New Tampa,
etc. Pasco County offers us Wesley Chapel, New Port Richey, and,
Land O’ Lakes. Some of the clubs of these areas will be: Bayou,
Tampa Palms, Cheval, Countryside, Wentworth, Eagles, Plantation
Palms, and the East Lake Woodland courses.
Our present handicap range is from 1 to 40. The handicap range of
1-16, playing approx 6200 yds. the 17+ handicaps playing approx.
6000 yds. Seventy year olds with a handicap of 24 or more may play
(if wanted) at the forward tees. Ladies will have approx. 5200 yds
for their game. Couples may choose to play together or in their own
handicap levels.
We “tee it up” every Monday and Thursday. Entry fees (between $40.00
and $65.00) will include green fee, cart fee, closest to the pin
prizes and awards.
Our members are automatically entered into the GHIN (Golf Handicap
and Information Network) and will receive a personal number that
will be used to handicap and post scores on any course using this
system. If you are currently enrolled, we will access your number
and keep your scores current. We enter your score after each play
with us.
Our golfers are competitive, picking up a few “closest -to-the- pin”
prizes, winning low net or gross, counting some $$$$’s from the
skins game and entering the Club Championship each year.
NEW THIS YEAR: Are you vacationing for a week or two in our area? We
now offer our vacationing guests a terrific opportunity to play the
best in Tampa Bay while enjoying “Fantastic Florida” You will pay
only the entry fee for the day, you will not need a handicap or be
eligible for prizes
